A Milestone Birthday Message from Sandy

I feel like I’m 30 again! And yet, I don’t want to be...

This year is bringing in fresh ideas, passionate focus, and new horizons. I say that I'm feeling 30 again because things are feeling new and exciting! But THANK GOODNESS I'm not 30 because I have learned that with every year comes well-deserved wisdom. Wisdom that I did NOT have at 30 but I hold and treasure as I age. Back then, at 30 something, it was nearly impossible for me to see myself at 65- because, well, that was old people. NOW, on my 65th birthday, I HAVE ARRIVED at this destination unknown to my then 30-self, and I couldn't be prouder of the steps and successes behind me- and the bright, beautiful journey ahead!

Yes, this past year has been quite a journey in itself (for all of us). I began my last birthday with the announcement of COVID and quarantine orders. Just prior to hearing the COVID news, I was in Mexico hosting a retreat in January. I was teaching the astrological severity and the cosmic importance of the approaching MAJOR PLUTO TRANSIT. All I could explain was that it would soon uproot the globe. Me, along with many other astrologers, had been anticipating this global change for decades- but yet, had trouble really explaining how it would manifest. How I chose to explain it was through the Hopi Elders prophecy:

We are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For

You have been telling people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered…

Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?

Know your garden.
It is time to speak your truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for your leader.

Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, “This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.

And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word ’struggle’ from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

And here we are! 21 years after this prophecy and 1 year into COVID & the MAJOR PLUTO TRANSIT, and I think it is fair to say that our world has been up-rooted, from the government to home life, from our relationship with ourselves to our relationships with others, and all the areas in-between. Many of us have held onto the old systems that we had so much faith in, yet we are seeing that now is the time to let go because the river has its destination!

Jump in with me into the middle of these raging waters. Keep your eyes open, and your heads above the water. WE are the ones we have been waiting for! I'm thrilled to be alive, to be a wisdom holder, but most importantly to have a tribe like you all to celebrate my birthday with!
