The Last Dance Sandy Rueve handmade bracelet for Michael Jordan

THE HISTORY

Remember when… Michael Jordan spent 21 months away from basketball to pursue a lifelong dream of baseball? Well, the future Hall-of-Famer then came back for a second stint with the Chicago Bulls team on March 19, 1995—Sandy’s birthday. "I'm back," was Jordan's written statement in the papers, and Sandy Rueve received the call from the United Center to come aboard as the sole X-ray tech—with an office attached to Jordan’s private office and the locker room.

Michael Jordan spent a lot of time in his office when he wasn’t on the court, and Sandy being the only woman in the locker room— Michael acted as a big brother stating that if anyone messed with Sandy, they messed with him. As the Chicago Bulls’ championship reign continued, Michael saw Sandy’s beads and requested a bracelet. All that happened next is the launch of her successful bead-making business! Because of course the rest of the Bulls players wanted their beads! (See Dennis Rodman's long necklace above)

THE BRACELET

Michael Jordan, after requesting a handmade bracelet from Sandy, was gifted this design featuring brick red, slate black, and cream tan featuring a geometric basket design.
